My love for music began with my first cassette tape: Janet Jackson’s 1989 career-defining concept album, Rhythm Nation 1814. To say that album was “influential” barely scratches the surface—it was my constant companion. I’d bring it to school and dance my heart out in the cafeteria before and after class. Back then, I was convinced I was destined to be a professional dancer.
Now, as a DJ with 10 years of experience in the Hudson Valley, I specialize in spinning vintage vinyl. Equipped with two turntables, a powerful sound system, and a library full of soul, funk, disco, and contemporary dance hits, I can’t wait to curate the perfect soundtrack for your wedding or event.

Harlan is a long time record collector and DJ currently based out of the Hudson Valley, NY. He specializes in curating an analog set of music pulled from a wide spectrum of genres. You can expect deep cuts back to back with old favorites for an algorithm free listening experience. His sets can be found archived on the Lot Radio and NTS.
Harlan strives to make unexpected connections between songs and artists. Everything from emo to shoegaze to dream pop, soul to jazz, disco, funk, boogie, and beyond including world music, cumbia, high life, dub, AOR, MPB, funk, turkish psych, exotica/lounge, etc.
